The boy was chasing his dream, but as he crossed the street, he noticed a woman in a helpless state and tried to help her, yet what happened in that moment shocked everyone.
A torrential rain was pouring mercilessly over the entire city. The young man walked, glancing at his watch. This day was crucial for him. He was on his way to an important interview at a major architecture firm for the position of design engineer.
For years he had studied, spending nights working on projects, and finally, he got the chance to present himself to the company he had long dreamed of.
Walking down the street and glancing at his watch again, the young man realized he was already late and quickened his pace. But at that moment, he noticed a young woman in a blue dress leaning against a wall, clearly feeling unwell.
Seeing her in that state, he paused for a moment, torn inside:
“If I stop now, I’ll be late… I might lose my chance.”
But in the next second, he was already running toward the woman.
“Are you okay?” he asked, grabbing her by the shoulders.
She opened her eyes with difficulty. Her lips trembled.
“My… head… is spinning…” the woman said. 😨😨
The young man tried to keep her on her feet, but she was nearly losing consciousness. He took off his jacket to cover her shoulders from the rain and call for help.
At that moment, the young woman’s husband approached from behind. Seeing what was happening, only one thought flashed through his mind, and without hesitation, he rushed toward the young man.
What he did shocked everyone present.
The continuation can be seen in the first comment. 👇👇👇
A middle-aged man, completely soaked, approached quickly. His eyes were tense, his breathing fast. Seeing a stranger holding his wife, his first thought was suspicion.
“What are you doing with her?” he asked sharply, stepping closer.
Aram looked up.
“She wasn’t feeling well. I’m just trying to help.”
The man froze for a moment, looking at his wife’s pale face.
“Maria…” he whispered, kneeling beside her.
He saw that the young man was supporting her so she wouldn’t fall into the puddles, noticed the jacket on her shoulders, and heard him calling for an ambulance. Suspicion turned into understanding.
“Thank you…” he said softly, his voice softening.
The lights of the ambulance appeared at the street corner. The doctors approached, examined the woman, and reported that she had a sudden drop in blood pressure. If she had fallen and hit her head on a stone, the consequences could have been severe.
The man turned to Aram.
“I misunderstood you,” he said. “I’m sorry. You saved my wife.”
Aram glanced at his watch. The time for the interview had already passed.
The man noticed that look.
“You were in a hurry, weren’t you?”
Aram was silent for a moment, then smiled faintly.
“Yes. But now it doesn’t matter.”
The man looked at him carefully.
“Where was your interview?”
When Aram named the company, the man’s expression changed. He smiled for the first time.
“I’m the CEO of this company.”
Aram was taken aback.
“At our company, we don’t just look for good professionals, but people who are, above all, humane,” the man continued. “Today you’ve already passed the most important test.”
A few days later, Aram was already sitting in the office of the same company — now as a new design engineer.
He realized one thing: sometimes the most important interviews in life don’t happen at a table in front of people, but on a rainy street, when you have to choose between your own gain and someone else’s life.
