The flight attendant — young, recently hired, but clearly confident — was serving for the first time a plane filled with passengers of such “high status.”
The first row — the most prestigious seats, where usually only high-ranking people sit — was constantly in her focus. She wanted the other stewards and passengers to see: she had full control of the situation.
When she entered the first section of the cabin, her gaze landed on one man. He did not look like the others. Everyone around him wore classic suits and branded items, while he — in dark jeans and a simple leather jacket — stood calmly by his seat, without haste and without showy gestures.
The flight attendant paused for a moment. Inside, she felt a strange conviction: this man simply could not belong in this row. She did not check the system and did not ask the passenger’s name, but decided to do something in front of everyone.
She approached the man and spoke a little louder so that the passengers in the first row could hear:
— Excuse me, sir, this row is not for all passengers. Please go to your proper seat.
The man turned to her calmly.
— This is my seat.
The flight attendant smiled. But that smile was more showy than polite.
— Yes, of course… But such mistakes often happen. You just sat in the wrong seat.
