“If you can repair the engine, I will give you one billion dollars,” the man said with a mocking smile, convinced that the child would not be able to do it. However, a few seconds later, when he sat behind the wheel and tried to start the engine, the man was shocked by what happened.
In the center of the city, on a crowded and noisy street, a black luxury car suddenly stopped. Smoke was coming out of the engine, and the wealthy man sitting behind the wheel angrily jumped out of the car.
He was in a hurry to get to the airport, where he had to sign the biggest contract of his life — a deal worth billions. But the car was no longer moving.
The man desperately opened the hood, but he knew nothing about cars. At that moment, a homeless boy appeared from the other end of the street, wearing dirty clothes. His hands were black with oil, and his face was tired, but his eyes were confident.
The boy came closer and quietly said:
— Sir… I can repair your car.
The man looked at him angrily:
— Get out of here, I don’t have time for you.
But the boy did not leave. He said again:

The man laughed. It seemed impossible to him that a child living on the street could do what even the best mechanics sometimes cannot. And jokingly he said:

The boy’s face did not change — neither joy nor surprise. He simply knelt down calmly next to the car and started working. He pulled out several wires, fixed something in the engine with his hands, then quickly connected a few hoses.
After just a few minutes, while the man was already standing there helplessly, the boy stood up and said calmly:
— Sir, sit in the driver’s seat and try to start the engine.
The man laughed:
— You’re just wasting my time… get out of here.
But the boy repeated:
— Try it, sir. If it doesn’t work, I will leave.
