The police froze in place, unable to believe their eyes. Rex, tired and frightened, barely breathed while the thick snake continued to squeeze his body. The senior sergeant immediately assessed the situation — any delay could cost the dog its life.
— Everyone back! — he shouted loudly. — Carefully, don’t rush!
They grabbed the snake’s tail and tried to loosen its coils, but the reptile’s strength was incredible. Hearts stopped, it seemed you could hear every beat.
Suddenly Rex let out a loud cry and tore free with his whole body. The snake, as if frightened by the resistance, loosened its grip, and the dog was instantly free. But the amazing events didn’t end there.
From the dense leaves, another dark body appeared — an equally large snake, but it did not attack. Instead, it lunged at the first snake, and within seconds their fight looked almost like a dance of predators.
The police could not believe their eyes — Rex was no longer in danger, the snakes were showing their struggle with each other.
When the first snake finally released the dog and disappeared into the bushes, everyone felt an incredible relief.
Rex breathed heavily but was alive, and the forest was once again filled only with the rustle of the wind.
