Many years ago, the man had a family, a job, and a normal, peaceful life. He worked at a construction company until a tragedy completely changed his fate. The company closed, he lost his job, and shortly after that his wife died from a serious illness.
He was unable to withstand these blows of fate. The man sold his house to pay off his debts, but in the end he was left alone and without a roof over his head.
For several days he ate almost nothing. Exhausted by hunger and trembling from the cold, he wandered the streets of the city until he noticed a brightly lit and crowded restaurant.

Aram pulled a small medallion out of the pocket of his old worn coat with a trembling hand and looked at the girl. Suddenly his voice trembled:
— This medallion… many years ago I gave it to my little daughter… when she was only five years old…
The waitress approached in shock. Her gaze stopped on the medallion, then on the man’s face. The girl’s hands began to tremble.
— Dad?.. — she whispered.
It turned out that many years earlier, when the family broke apart, the little girl was taken to relatives, and Aram lost contact with her. Both of them spent their entire lives searching for each other, not knowing that fate would bring them together again in this very restaurant.
The people sitting in the hall froze. Many had tears in their eyes. The young waitress fell to her knees and hugged her father tightly, the one she had lost many years ago.
