The woman stood in the rain and asked for help, but when a car approached with the intention of helping, everything turned upside down.
A man was returning home in heavy rain when he noticed a woman on a narrow street, standing there confused in the rain and not knowing what to do. The man approached her and said:
— Get in the car, ma’am, why are you standing in the rain?
The woman, sobbing, replied that she had been kicked out of her home and had nowhere to go, so she was standing there helplessly.
— Get in my car, — said the man in a high tone, as if giving a command.
The woman didn’t know who this random passerby was, but in the heavy rain and to calm her heart, she agreed. They continued on their way to the city.
— Thank you for your help, — said the woman without looking at him, but fear could be felt in every word she spoke.
The man, whose car was quite old and worn, was at that moment only dreaming of reaching his family — his wife and children, as he had been away from the city for a week due to work and hadn’t seen them. But fate on the road had other plans for him.
When they arrived in the city, the man gave the woman money so she could temporarily rent a hotel and stay there until she sorted out her affairs. 😥😥
The woman was immensely grateful, took his phone number, and left after saying goodbye.
The next day, the man received a phone call. He was invited to the place where he had dropped off the woman the day before.
He didn’t know who was calling, but curiosity led him to go and understand what the call meant, and what happened at the location shocked the whole city.

When the man approached the gas station where he had dropped off the woman yesterday, he met a man in an official suit.
— Did you call me? — asked Valentina Pavlova.
— If you are Valentina Pavlova, — replied the man, — then yes. You have been recognized as the winner of the contest held by our company, and you will receive the prize.
The man in the suit took the keys to a luxury car out of his pocket and handed them to Valentina Pavlova.
Pavlova didn’t understand what contest this was about, but when she saw the woman who had been helped yesterday, everything became clear to her.
The woman, approaching elegantly, said:
— Yes, Mr. Valentina Pavlova, you have won the prize our company prepared for the person who helps someone in a helpless state in the rain.
— Yesterday you did a great deed, — she continued. — While you were passing by, many cars and passersby went through this neighborhood, and no one extended a helping hand to me except you.
As you have probably understood, I am an employee of the company, and yesterday I was in this role only as part of the presentation.
The man could not believe his eyes and ears, but one thing was clear: he had won a contest that anyone could have entered.
